Edgetechies rolls out an intensive IT training programme across Nigerian secondary schools

As one of our capability development initiatives (which spans consulting, corporate training programmes, focus group workshops and tech events) the team at Edgetechies has started the roll out of an intensive IT training program for students of select secondary schools in Nigeria.

Led by 'Tunde Ajiboye with years of experience cutting across networking, programming, project management and corporate ICT training, the team has successfully set up functional ICT facilities from scratch in pilot schools to enhance the practical lab sessions of the specially designed training curriculums.

The pictures below show classes taking place in one of the pilot schools: Imola College Iju Lagos.

The young students are exposed to basic and intermediate level programming and the hands-on use of creative design softwares with mind-blowing results so far in learning outcomes.

It is our aim to strategically deploy the self-sustaining model across select schools in the entire nation. The goal of initiative is to expose the students early enough to the wonders of technology and equip them to make practical use of it in creating valuable projects and developing solutions to problems they care about.

We've seen enough in brilliance amongst the students in the schools we've worked with so far to convince us that future Mark Zuckerbergs and Steve Jobs lie within those walls and we're leaving no stone unturned in enabling them with the right skill sets to make change happen.

We're confident that these kids will go on to unleash wonderful innovations and play unprecedented roles in building a new, bright and desirable tech-enabled future for Nigeria, Africa and the world at large.

If you'll like to enquire about the initiative, send us an email via info@edgetechies.com. We'll be glad to discuss.
