Team Member Spotlight: 5 questions with Omotoke Olowo

Hello Folks! Still in the season's spirit of celebrating women, we are showcasing one of the awesome people that make things happen in our team. Today you get to meet Omotoke Olowo, a Project Associate working on SkillHer, one of our capacity building projects

Hello Toke, Can you share a little about your role and responsibilities at Edgetechies?

I work as a project associate for SkillHer Initiative, which is a Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative of Edgetechies. my functions include creating content for the SkillHer blog, managing the SkillHer Community, and managing SkillHer's projects

How has Edgetechies helped your personal and professional growth?

It has increased my capacity to do a lot at the same time what is popularly known as multitasking. It has increased my quest for attention to details. It has brought more out of me even skills I didn't believe I could cultivate and master. It has made me gain better experience in accountability, and getting results without excuses.

Could you share a bit about your most memorable experience or project you've worked on with Edgetechies?

Every part has been memorable for me. I find myself developing skills I didn't even know I have. Being a project associate often requires me to wear multiple hats, from being a content creator to being a graphics designer to being communications personnel to being a social media manager. It can be very tedious doing all these at once but what I have gained in terms of capacity has been unquantifiable.

What is your favorite thing about working for the company?

The fact that I can have sincere conversations with my boss. It's a company where my opinion counts and I am respected for who I am.

How would you describe the company dynamic and work culture?

I feel that Edgetechies is an amazing place to work really. I feel challenged, and like I am part of a worthwhile cause, and a brand that is going places.
