Happy International Youth Day 2025!

At Edgetechies, we remain committed to empowering young people with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. This year, we were especially privileged to provide technical support to SkillHer; one of Nigeria's leading educational social enterprises in the implementation of her SkillHer SAW (Skill Acquisition Workshop) program.

Through this collaboration, we helped enhance the learning outcomes of over 100 participants, supporting them not only in acquiring digital and entrepreneurial skills but also in developing the confidence to apply these skills in real-life contexts. By guiding the tech-related components of the program, from digital literacy to web development, we’ve seen first-hand how access to the right resources can accelerate growth, spark creativity, and open doors to new opportunities.

We also provided support in enhancing SkillHer Coach; the organization's learning management system which now makes it possible for the team to deliver highly quality coaching and learning support to thousands of women and youth across different locations in real time.

International Youth Day reminds us that today’s youth are not just future leaders—they are leaders now. At Edgetechies, we are proud to walk alongside them, building capacity, advancing innovation, and ensuring that young people everywhere have the support they need to thrive.

Here’s to celebrating their resilience, vision, and boundless potential.

The Coded Value of Social Enterprises: Impact That Sustains

At Edgetechies, we believe every enterprise carries two types of value: the visible kind—revenues, customers, partnerships—and the coded kind, which sits beneath the surface. For social enterprises, that coded value lies in their ability to deliver impact while also building paths to profitability and sustainability . For years, many viewed social enterprises as charity-adjacent, destined to rely on grants or goodwill. But the truth is different. When structured right, social enterprises can be among the most resilient and scalable business models of our time. Their coded value is in how they turn human problems into market opportunities —balancing purpose with business sense. Purpose as a Growth Engine The most successful social enterprises don’t chase impact at the expense of profit. They harness purpose as a growth engine. Take SkillHer , for example. What began as a safe space for women to learn and upskill has grown into a thriving community unlocking new opportunities across N...
